APPLICATION

Mental Health Fellowship is a social enterprise and a multidisciplinary organization with a focus on mental health education, advocacy, leadership, and community engagements. We expect our fellows during and after the fellowship to collaborate on projects, lead engagements, provide support, and create awareness on mental health in schools, communities, and workplaces.

 

Fellowship Period for Different Cohorts

Young Adults between ages 20-25

August-November yearly

Transitioning Teens between ages 16-19

January-April yearly

Early Teens between ages 13-15

May-August yearly

REQUIREMENTS

To apply for any of the cohorts, applicants must be:
  •  between 13-25 years (at the time of application).
  • living in Nigeria and abroad (we are keen to hear from people living with disabilities and persons in low- and middle-income communities).
  • Interested or passionate about mental health awareness, advocacy, education, and engagements. 
  • willing to commit to 10 weekends (Saturdays) Virtual Sessions. 
  •  Willing to give back to your community as a mental health champion during and after the fellowship.
  • Able to communicate and interact in the English Language. 
  • Applicants are expected to pay #10,000 naira for the fellowship. This will cover the participation fee, digital certificate, and a branded T-Shirt (you will be responsible for the courier of the branded shirt). 
  • permitted by your parent or guardian if you are less than 18 to participate in the Fellowship.

The Mental Health Fellowship Programs through the curriculum provides therapeutic and therapy sessions, emotional intelligence, Interpersonal relationship, leadership development skills, multimedia and creative engagements: Creative Writing, Podcast, Mindfulness, Arts, Story Telling and lived experience sessions, safe space, coping mechanisms, Self-awareness and personal development, (Paid-Non-Paid) internship and international exchange opportunities.
